Seeking Piet the Minimalist #1

With a piece of old canvas (landscape work) from the past and some little digital artwork plus the music of Yusef Lateef playing The Plum Blossom in the background came this piece, a homage to Piet Mondrian. Used a scanner to make a jpeg of the landscape…. then digitally blurred it out with software ACDSee. From there just let the creative process take over and played in the sandpit of life.

This being the first attempt at the motifs used here as a digital artwork, I may look into it deeper. Not quite sure if it works…. will see.

“The emotion of beauty is always obscured by the appearance of the object. Therefore, the object must be eliminated from the picture.” – Piet Mondrian

The most potent muse of all is our inner child. – Stephen Nachmanovitch
